Good Morning Beautiful!
It’s hard to believe that it’s already February! The month of January breezed by especially because my “New Year, New You” cleanse was so fun! I want to thank all of you who participated in my cleanse. My goal was to help guide you to a healthier and happier path for 2017 and to help your skin reap the benefits of your small but positive changes! It’s important for me to emphasize the fact that I think we can all continue to strive to make better choices, which leave us looking and feeling our best. Setting goals and following through is the key to molding your life into the life you dream of.
With that being said, we all know that it’s important to make time for date nights with our partner. However, it’s all too easy to get caught up with life’s trials and tribulations and put your relationship on the back burner. That’s why I absolutely love Valentine’s Day: It’s an entire day devoted to showing your loved ones appreciation and gratitude. Even if you don’t have a significant other, February 14th is an excellent reminder to let your closest friends and family members know how much you love them. Whether you are headed to a fancy restaurant with your other half, meeting up with your BFFs for a Gal-entine’s Day Party or just hanging out at home in your pajamas with your dog, this DIY recipe that will have you looking and feeling your absolute best for this special day.
DIY Cinnamon Rose Lip Scrub
In honor of the day that celebrates love, I wanted to share a recipe that will nurture and soften your lips. Whether you are planning on kissing that special someone or you just have dry, cracked winter lips, this Cinnamon Rose Lip Scrub will have your lips feeling amazing. The Raw Sugar and Crushed Dried Rose Petals in this recipe provide the physical exfoliant necessary for removing dead skin so your lips will be left silky smooth. The Rosehip Oil, which is actually obtained from the wild rose bush’s seeds, is extremely hydrating and nourishing, while the Cinnamon Essential Oil helps to increase the blood flow in your lips, giving them a subtle plumped appearance. Be sure to use a high quality, pure Cinnamon Essential Oil for best results. Additionally, I reccomend following the lip scrub with an application of one of my Lip Healers, which contain Black Currant seed oil – the star ingredient in my bestselling Black Currant Serum – as well as Mango Seed Butter, which is highly moisturizing and nourishing for your lips.
