I don’t know about you but daylight savings always tends to throw me off a little. We change or clocks but often our bodies don’t get the memo right away. I also find my clients more stressed and pressed for time during this time of the year. Between deadlines at work, more familial obligations, and just less “me” time, this tends to be the time of year where people end up forgetting about their skincare routines. Last week, I spoke about how great double duty products are and all the ways they can be integrated into your routine. This week, I wanted to discuss how great multitasking beauty routines themselves can be. Remember, beauty should not be stressful! When you’re feeling like there is simply not enough time in the day, here are 3 ways to integrate your beauty ritual into your daily routine:

Wash your face in the shower

A shower is an unavoidable part of your daily routine and you probably can’t imagine skipping getting squeaky clean all together. Unfortunately, I find that many clients don’t necessarily feel the same way about washing their face. When they get busy, properly cleansing their face ends up on the back burner. In this case, I tell my clients to simply put their Vitamin C Cleanser in the shower so that they have no excuse not to cleanse. The gentle low-lather formula creates tiny microbubbles to break down makeup and dirt for a deep clean for skin that’s never strips your skin of your natural oils. You’ll step out of the shower with a clean body AND a smoother, brighter complexion, refreshed pores, and hydrated, glowing skin. Remember: Avoid taking a shower that is too hot, especially while washing your face.

Clean your pores while cleaning your home

I absolutely love doing masks at home because they were practically made for multitasking. While it’s important to get pampering facials regularly, applying a mask at home provides a great middle ground. It’s the perfect beauty treatment that makes you feel indulgent without feeling guilty. By using the downtime while the mask is on your skin to clean up your home, you’re able to accomplish two tasks at once. I recommend using our Blemish Peel Mask or one of my DIY recipes (like this one and this one) and natural, non-toxic cleaning products to clean your home. Post-mask your skin will be glowing AND your home will be sparkling too!

Feed your skin

I know it can be hard between leftover Halloween candy, the upcoming abundance of turkey and pie, and, soon after, the traditions of hot cocoa and sugar cookies, but as I tell my clients, your skin directly reflects your diet. An amazing way to take care of your skin without even realizing it is to take care of your overall health by eating well. I am always reminding my clients that drinking at least eight glasses of water is imperative, especially when our skin tends to become a bit dehydrated in the colder and dryer months. Also, while green vegetables seem to have the best reputation (for good reason!), it’s important to make sure you are getting a variety of produce in your diet. A quick hack to a healthy body with skin that looks lit from within is to eat the rainbow, as different fruits and vegetables provide different nutrients that affect you in different ways. Try and challenge yourself to move outside of your comfort zone by trying something new from the local farmers’ market or health food store. Aim to eat at least 3 different colors of produce each day to make sure your skin is properly nourished.

Heal your lips and cuticles overnight
