The skin around your eyes is thin and delicate. It is more prone to irritation and sensitive to sun exposure than any other area of your face. The slightest change in your diet or sleeping habits can cause puffiness and dark circles. Taking the time to care for your eyes can provide long term benefits.
Start your morning with these 3 quick and easy steps. (And it only takes 3 minutes to do)

1. Choosing the right eye cream is important. Some eye creams are heavy, therefore, you might think it’s also hydrating. In fact, they just sit on your skin, not able to absorb completely and causing tiny oil bumps under the eyes. Use moisture- magnet ingredients such as black currant, carrot seed, hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C that hydrates, strengthens and brightens.

2. I love to start my day with a light massage around the eyes. Not only does this feel good but it literally opens my eyes. Start at the lower inner corner of the eyes, pressing gently outward. This helps to drain out excess water and  gets the blood flowing. Repeat 2-3 times.

3. Don’t forget to use sunscreen around the eye. Your eyes are more susceptible to UV damage because it is much thinner. If regular sunscreen is too heavy or irritates your eyes, look for mineral based formula with zinc and titanium dioxide.

One of my favorites is Coola which has anti-aging ingredients, extremely light and doesn’t cause any irritation.
