I’ve been asked many times how I start my day. One of things that I do consistently every morning is have a shot of chlorophyll along with either a green juice or smoothie. One of the ingredients in my green juice that I must have is carrots. I love the taste and the smell of fresh carrots in the morning. And the vibrant color always makes me joyful.

We all know carrots are good for your eyes, but they also promote healthy skin (thanks to beta-carotene which converts to Vitamin A). This powerful antioxidant is responsible for flushing out toxins from your liver which is essential for the maintenance and healing of your skin. A toxic overload inside will lead to a toxic overload outside causing many skin problems.

Here are some reasons why carrots are so good for you.

Carrots are also loaded with phyto-chemicals which protects skin from sun damage, prevents pigmentation, wrinkles, acne and uneven complexion. I like to think of this as retinol for the inside.

Here’s a tip: grate a carrot and apply it on your skin for 10-15 minutes. If you are suffering from eczema or dryness you’ll feel an instant relieve. Have a glass or two and you’ll see visible results in no time.
