As Summer turns into Fall, the air becomes drier and temperatures drop – it’s time to tweak your skincare routine.
Summer skincare is about sunscreen, oil control and light moisturizers. The best Fall routine is all about repairing the damage from all the Summer fun and most importantly, preparing for Winter.
Your skin needs more TLC during the Fall because the transition from humid to cold weather can be drying to the skin. The steps remain the same while using the same products throughout the seasons won’t give you the same results.
The change of weather can have an effect on your skin. You might experience more dryness and flakiness (dead skin).

Follow these tips to ensure your skin stays healthy and well balanced.

1. Fall skin is in need of repair. To revive skin use a cleanser that contain ingredients with Vitamin Cand alfafa to exfoliate dead skin and stimulate collagen production. In addition, they are also great in diminishing sun spots and pigmentation.
2. Dry skin is fragile and you need to add more to protect the lipid layers. Adding an oil based serum will nourish the skin with extra hydration. Ingredients containing grapeseed and chamomile oil will melt right into the skin. Another great ingredient to look for is black currant seed – it contains a high amount of omegas that’s good for the skin and lymphatic system, so it will depuff, hydrate and soothe the skin.
3.Start the season with a peel. Dull and rough texture are the results from too much sun exposure. Peels help to lift off those layers of skin revealing a brighter and softer complexion. Fruit acids and enzyme peels are great as these are gentle yet effective. Ingredient to look for is Pomegranate seed oil as this is anti-inflammatory, stimulates skin cell turnover and improves skin elasticity.
Remember, skin needs time to adapt so start following these tips early and your skin will thank you.
